Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Amonym LLC (“Amonym”, “we”, “us”), which publishes and operates Numwix, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit numwix.com or use app.numwix.com (together the “Platform”).
It complements the Numwix Terms and Conditions, whose definitions apply here. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy.
- We only collect what we need to run Numwix, secure it and meet our legal obligations.
- We never see your card details or your mobile money PIN: payments are handled by our payment partners.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- You can access, correct or delete your data by writing to support@numwix.com.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Amonym LLC (amonym.com) is the data controller for the personal data processed through the Platform.
For any question about this Policy or your data, write to support@numwix.com, with the subject “Personal data”.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Data you give us
- Account data: first name, last name, email address, password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form), preferred language and Account currency.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile picture. We never receive your Google password or access to your other Google data.
- Phone number, if you choose to add one to your profile.
- Support data: the messages, screenshots and information you send us when you contact support.
2.2 Data generated when you use Numwix
- Coin purchases: Pack, amount, currency, exchange rate, date, status and the payment reference given by our payment partner.
- Coin balance and movements: credits, reservations, spending and refunds.
- Orders: service, country, number assigned, dates, status and the content of the text messages received on the number.
- Account activity: sign-up date, acceptance of the Terms, sign-in method and dates of last sign-in and activity.
2.3 Technical data
- IP address, approximate country deduced from it, browser and device type, pages visited, and technical logs and error reports.
- Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 8.
2.4 Data we do not collect
We do not collect your card number, your bank details or your mobile money PIN: they are entered directly on our payment partner's secure page. We do not collect identity documents unless a verification is required under our Terms, in which case we will tell you what is requested and why.
3. Why we use your data
- To create and manage your Account and let you sign in (performance of the contract).
- To sell you Coins, process your Orders, display the messages received and handle refunds (performance of the contract).
- To answer your support requests (performance of the contract and our legitimate interest).
- To secure the Platform and prevent fraud, abuse, payment disputes and use prohibited by our Terms (our legitimate interest and legal obligations).
- To keep accounting and tax records and respond to requests from competent authorities (legal obligations).
- To measure and improve the Platform (our legitimate interest, or your consent where the law requires it).
- To send you service emails (account, payments, Orders) and, unless you object, news and offers about Numwix (our legitimate interest, or your consent where the law requires it). You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in each email.
4. About the messages received on your numbers
The messages received on a number you ordered are stored so we can display them in your Account, investigate a refund request and detect abuse. Do not ask a Third-party service to send sensitive information to a Numwix number.
Numbers are shared and recycled. After the Activation window, a number may be assigned to another user, who will only see the messages received during their own Order.
5. Who receives your data
We share your data only with the people who need it to run the service, and only to the extent necessary:
- Payment partners, which process your payments and fight payment fraud. They receive your name, email address, Account identifier and the details of the purchase.
- Number Suppliers, which provide the numbers and route the messages. They receive the technical details of the Order (service, country, number), not your identity.
- Technical providers acting on our behalf: cloud hosting and storage, transactional and marketing email delivery, Google sign-in, error monitoring and log management, and website audience measurement.
- Professional advisers (lawyers, accountants, auditors), under a duty of confidentiality.
- Competent authorities, when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of Amonym.
- A buyer or successor, in case of merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of the business, who will be bound by this Policy.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share your Google account data with advertising platforms.
6. International transfers
Amonym LLC is a company registered in the United States and some of our providers are located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Your data may therefore be processed outside your country of residence. When we use providers, we require them by contract to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
7. How long we keep your data
- Account data: as long as your Account is open, then deleted or anonymised within 12 months after it is closed, except what we must keep under the rules below.
- Orders and messages received: 12 months after the Order.
- Purchase and payment records: for the period required by accounting and tax law.
- Support exchanges: 24 months after the last exchange.
- Technical logs and error reports: generally no more than 90 days.
- Data needed to handle a dispute, a suspected fraud or a request from an authority: until the matter is closed and any limitation period has expired.
8. Cookies and audience measurement
The Platform uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your language. They cannot be turned off.
The website numwix.com may also use audience measurement and advertising tools (such as Umami, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta pixel) to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our campaigns. Where the law requires it, these tools are only enabled with your consent.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the Platform from working properly.
9. Security
We protect your data with technical and organisational measures suited to the risk: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access restricted to authorised staff with two-factor authentication, logging and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure: if a data breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will inform you and the competent authorities as required by law.
You remain responsible for keeping your password secret. Tell us immediately at support@numwix.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your Account.
10. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask for your data to be deleted, unless we must keep it under the law;
- object to or ask us to restrict certain uses, in particular marketing;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it;
- lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.
How to exercise them
Write to support@numwix.com from the email address of your Account. We may ask you for information to confirm your identity before acting on your request. We reply within one month at the latest.
11. Minors
Numwix is reserved for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about minors. If you believe a minor has created an Account, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the service or to the law. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. For significant changes, we will inform you by email or in your Account.
This Policy is available in English and French. In case of discrepancy, the English version prevails.
